Responsibilities

• Prosecution of all felony-level crimes that occur within Benton County
• Prosecution of all petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses occurring in the unincorporated areas of the county
• Represents the county in civil litigation
• Represents the State of Minnesota and the Benton County Human Services in juvenile delinquency, juvenile protection and child support matters. 
• Provide legal counsel to the county departments and assist in the interpretation and enforcement of county ordinances.
