D.A.R.E. - Drug Abuse Resistance Education
For 16 weeks, the specially trained Deputy Sheriff, also known as a D.A.R.E. Officer, will spend time in each of the classrooms of Benton County 5th grade students. Students are taught the importance of making good choices in their lives and the consequences that can come from making bad choices.

Dive Team
The Sheriff's Office maintains a Dive Team, which has been in existence since 1979.

Members of the Investigative Division conduct in-depth investigations into the most serious crimes committed in the county.

K-9 Unit
The K-9 Unit is a specialized team that makes use of the unique senses and abilities that a dog has to offer.

Mounted Patrol
The Benton County Mounted Patrol is made up of 20 volunteer riders who undergo special training to prepare themselves and their horses for the demands of law enforcement work.

Recreational Vehicle Enforcement
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office conducts routine patrols using snowmobiles and ATVs with the goal of encouraging compliance with the laws and rules related to the use of these recreational vehicles.
