New Government Center Information

On this page you will find information on the Benton County Government Center project.  A new Government Center in Foley will replace a collection of buildings constructed between 1901 and 1981.  Watch the video to see conditions in the existing buildings.  Other information includes the estimated cost of a new Government Center, estimated tax impacts and 3D images of a new building.

Project Location
The County has acquired land in Foley on Dewey Street for a new Government Center.  The vacant land used to be occupied by the Foley High School.

Project Overview
Here's a one-page overview of the project.  It was prepared for use at the Legislature, where the County is seeking an exemption from the State sales tax on construction materials.  That exemption would save $320,000 on project costs.

Project Cost Estimate
The County's construction manager Contegrity Group estimates a new Government Center will cost $29.7 million. Contegrity's detailed cost estimate can be viewed here.

Estimated Tax Impact

Open Houses
The County Board has scheduled open houses and facility tours. Here's the schedule.  The open houses will include several story boards providing information on the existing buildings and images of the proposed Government Center.  Those story boards can be viewed here.

Project Bids and Tax Impact Based on Bid Opening
Bids were opened on May 29, 2025 for the project.  Here's a summary:

>Construction Manager's Estimate: $29.7 million
>Low Bid: $24.5 million
>2nd Lowest Bid: $26.1 million
>Average Bid: $27.6 million
