About the Planning Commission

An eight member group appointed by the County Commissioners whose function is to conduct public hearings, act on conditional use permit applications and make recommendations to the County Board. The Planning Commission considers the compliance of each request relative to Comprehensive Plan as a part of each decision or recommendation to the County Board. They also review and decide on minor preliminary plats, review major plats and amendments to the Development Code.
