Permit to Carry

If you want to apply for a Permit to Carry, you need to download and fill out the Application for Permit to Carry. You must bring your completed application to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in person.

If you want to apply for a Permit to Purchase or Transfer, download and fill out the Application for Permit to Purchase or Transfer. Permits to purchase applications may be delivered by mail, in person, or via email.

When applying for a Permit to Purchase:

  • If you live within city limits of a city with a police department, you will need to apply at that city police department.
  • If you live outside of city limits and within Benton County, you will need to apply at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
