Veterans Services
The Benton County Veterans Service Office provides assistance and guidance to veterans, their survivors, and dependents for benefits provided by the state of Minnesota and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mission Statement
Advise, counsel, assist, and support veterans and their families in obtaining veteran benefits through the state and federal programs and to act as an advocate on their behalf or direct and refer them to other authorized agencies or providers as needed.

Every veteran is unique. Call 320-968-5044 for an appointment and bring along your DD-214 (discharge papers) to go over possible benefits.
- How can I get a copy of my DD-214 or discharge papers?

If you are having GI Bill problems:

- How can I get my medications through the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)?

You need to be enrolled as a patient and have a VAMC Physician write the prescription. Call the Veterans Services Office at 320-968-5044 for an appointment to see if you are eligible for enrollment.
- Where can I get a home loan certificate?

Your lender is able to get the Certificate of Eligibility online or we can fill out the application and mail it in for you.
